Devon has his Masters of Arts in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Science from The University of South Dakota and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the NSCA.
Devon is a former Division 1 Defensive End at Oregon State University under Head Coach Mike Riley. After his 4 year career at OSU, Devon worked for a year as a Strength and Conditioning Coach at the Oregon State University Football program under Head Strength Coach Mike McDonald.
From OSU, Devon became a Strength and Conditioning Coach at the University of South Dakota, where he was the Head Strength Coach for Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving and Women’s Tennis. Devon was also an Assistant Strength Coach for Women’s Volleyball, Men’s Basketball, Women’s Soccer and Football at The University of South Dakota under Head Strength Coach Clete McLeod.
Devon is an Olympic Weightlifting-based coach that uses the classic Olympic lifts and its variations to build athletic strength, power, and speed under the foundational scientific principles established by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
